The Broadmead removable version has a very neat spigot & socket mechanism where a hinged plate within the ground socket covers the bollard aperture after removal. They are secured by padlock and feature a unique 'through hole' at the top of the bollard for inserting a bar to assist removal and carrying. It is a good idea to install additional sockets elsewhere, to the side, where the removed bollard can be stored temporarily.

Please note that along with similarly specified tubular bollards it is not designed to withstand the impact of a vehicle without some degree of damage. It is not a ram-raid bollard but should be used as a guide or deterrent to access.
